As a Teaching Artist, I work in partnership with museums, cultural institutions and in schools, to realize large scale art installations, murals and projects. These often work in collaboration with current exhibits, collections or trends in contemporary arts, crossing disciplines to link school age to adult students to the various approaches and techniques, and historical context to collaborative art making. This Blog is intended to document past, present and ongoing projects.

Alex Spinney: Originally from the Washington D.C. area, Alex Spinney has attended the Edinburgh College of Art (Edinburgh, Scotland), Savannah College of Art and Design (Bachelors of Fine Arts: Painting), SCAD: Lacoste (Provence, France), School of Visual Arts, State University of New York at New Paltz (Masters of Fine Arts: Painting), and The Vermont Studio Center. She currently has a studio practice in Philadelphia, PA, and teaches classes and workshops at various cultural institutions such as the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts, Pegasus ArtWorks, The Cheltenham Center for the Arts, and Community based partnerships at public and independent schools.
