2012: Lead Teaching Artist: Artist in Residence, A2O: Artists and Outdoors: The City of Philadelphia's Mural Arts Program in Collaboration with the Parks and Recreation Department: Mander Recreation Center Ages 10-14

In collaboration with my public art contract as Lead Artist, I led a nine week class, with students at a free after-school program, in North Philadelphia. In this class, I created projects based on my mural, engaging students the design process, application and research that goes into creating a site-specific piece of public art. I led two community workshops, that engaged the neighborhood in both the process, and student involvement. Specifically, the students used mediums such as; stencil cutting and application, vinyl collaging, silkscreening, painting, and drawing. They learned about various types of birds indigenous to the area.
