Mark-Making, Texture and the Line

Part I- In Class Mixed Media Experimentation

Introduction to Mark making techniques, layering, and technical effects. Utilize a different approach to materials, and experiment with hard vs. soft linear and blending techniques, color harmonies and rhythm 

Part II- Bic Pen Project

Must use the entire contents of one new bic pen to create abstractions from nature and design. Develop composition organically. Think of a serious doodle, with an emphasis on repetition, marks and negative/ positive relationships.
